Created by women for women, this is Women in Flight.
Women in Flight is brought to you by Vancouver Running Co. in partnership with lululemon and Mile2Marathon.
Over this six-part series, we’re creating the opportunity for women to run, connect and be inspired together. Led by women in collaboration with incredible local partners, this unique series will nod to the spring equinox as we shift from dark winter months to brighter days.
Open to runners of all abilities, Women in Flight is designed for women to openly explore topics around running, including the practice of balance, nutrition, self-care, the power of reflection, and more. Each week, for 75 minutes, we’ll be fully immersed in a new topic to invigorate your running—and the life you lead beyond the road.

Women in Flight FAQ's
Q. What’s the timing of the sessions?
A. Each session will be 75 minutes in total, with the run portion taking around 45 minutes, followed by a 30 minute workshop or activity, so you can be on your way to work by 7:30am.
Q. I’m training for a specific race - is this clinic for me?
A. Yes, however this is NOT a training clinic. All of the workshops and activities as part of Women in Flight are designed to help complement your running, but there is no race specific training, and all of the runs will be ‘social’ rather than a workout.
Q. I’m a guy and this sounds great, can I register?
A. Sorry guys, this one is for women only.
Q. Where will the clinic be held?
A. Most all of the runs will start and finish at Vancouver Running Co. 1886 W1st Ave. In the event of us finishing in a different location, we will give you advance notice and organise transportation of your belongings if needed.
Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. We cannot offer any discounts on Women in Flight.
Q. What ability is Women in Flight aimed at?
A. Women in Flight is aimed at women of any and every ability. Our runs will be at a conversational pace - whatever that is for you. We will have several people running with the group each week to make sure everyone stays together and no one is left behind.
Q. Tell me more about Kate Gustafson!
A. Kate is an extremely accomplished runner, and a coach with Mile2Marathon. In addition, she is very passionate about women and girls in sport, having co-founded Run to Give YVR to help raise awareness and support for the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. She’s also a talented writer, and wants to bring some of each of her passions to Women in Flight.
