Take the traditional run clinic, turn it upside down, and mix it with a healthy dose of fun, frivolity and a few surprises, and you get the SeaWheeze Unclinic 2017 - the perfect way to train you for the lululemon Seawheeze half marathon.
Led by Canadian Olympic marathoner and architect of Mile2Marathon Coaching, Dylan Wykes, this clinic is unlike any before - we’ll help you meet your SeaWheeze goals, but we’ll also throw in a few surprises along the way, which will guarantee you’ll want to come back every week. The Unclinic will be 11 weeks of workouts, focusing on tempo and speedwork, the art of long runs, the importance of warm-ups and cool downs, and why strength training can help us all.
In partnership with lululemon and a whole host of our favourite Vancouver neighbours, the Unclinic will make the lead up to SeaWheeze the most fun you’ve ever had training for a race.
Your registration includes:
- 11 weeks of coached training by Olympic Marathoner and Coach Dylan Wykes from May 31-Aug 9
- One workout every Wednesday at either 6am or 6pm, varying depending on the workout, with a detailed schedule made available after registration, and as the weeks roll out
- A surprise pre/post-workout activity each week with a local partner you know and love
- Weekly training plan to take home and complete outside of coached sessions

SeaWheeze Unclinic FAQ's
Q. Is there a session at 6:00am and 6:00pm every Wednesday?
A. No, there is one session per Wednesday that will take place at either 6:00am or 6:00pm but not both. There are approx. 3 sessions taking place at 6:00am with the remainder taking place at 6:00pm.
Q. Will there be workouts to do between coached sessions on Wednesdays?
A. Yes, each week after you have completed your coached session you will receive the next 6 days of your training in order to be well and ready for SeaWheeze.
Q. Where will the workouts meet?
A. Most all of the workouts will leave from Vancouver Running Co. 1886 W1st Ave
Q. How long is each session?
A. Times will vary but count on each session taking anywhere from 90-120min including the surprise activity.
Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. We cannot offer any discounts on the SeaWheeze Unclinic.
Q. What ability is the Unclinic intended for?
A. The SeaWheeze Unclinic is meant for runners of all abilities and in place to help you reach your half marathon goals.
Q. What the heck does Unclinic mean?
A. You know the classic 'Clinic'? It's the opposite - we'll train you up and have boat loads of fun with you while we do it!
