Here we go again - the 2nd Annual Holiday Social is coming up December 15! Presented by East Van Run Crew, VRC Flight Crew and Fraser St Run Club the Holiday Social is the time of year we invite all crews to celebrate the run community's accomplishments, spend some time together, and use our power to raise money for the Vancouver Food Bank.

Our relationship with East Van Run Crew began with a simple message from Ryan just before we opened the shop, offering to help us get the word out about our new endeavor. It was back in April 2015, just a few days before we opened the shop.

We're back and teaming up with East Van Run Crew for our 2nd Annual Summer Social, and you're invited! To celebrate the lead-up to the Lululemon Seahwheeze Half-Marathon, the Summer Social aims to bring crews from Vancouver and across North America together for a fun shake-out run and social.

As it seems with most years, 2015 has come and gone too quickly. Half of 2014 was spent planning the opening of Vancouver Running Company and by the time we found our space late that year, it seemed like forever before we would open the doors. Now 8 months later it seems like a flash and we're wondering a bit how that happened so fast.

Last Thursday our combined efforts brought in over $250.00 and about 60lbs of food for the Food Bank. We also have roughly 50 pairs of old running shoes that will be repaired and given to someone in need.
