It’s pretty hard to say no when someone suggests a beer collaboration, especially when it coincides with a Flight Crew anniversary, and the brewery involved has a run crew. And so we joined forces with Yellow Dog Brewing in Port Moody, and their run crew Hustle for Hops for an afternoon of what we do best - running and beer.
More than 100 runners gathered for the run on what turned out to be perfect weather for the occasion. The Hustle for Hops crew showed Flight Crew and friends their local stomping ground with a 6km run along the Port Moody shoreline trail, and an 11km route that showcased some of the local trails.
After a cruise through the kids waterpark to cool off, we took advantage of the sunshine and retreated to Yellow Dog’s beer garden to enjoy what we really came for - a dry-hopped New Zealand Pilsner, aptly named Run to the Hills.
We couldn’t have picked a better day, or a better crew to partner with on this - we’re already looking forward to the next one.
The Hustle for Hops x VRC Flight Crew collaboration beer Run to the Hills - New Zealand Pilsner (5% alc./vol. 25 IBU) is available now in 4-pack cans and on-tap at Yellow Dog Brewing, 2817 Murray St, Port Moody BC.
