Running socks were not always a looked after category of clothing by any brand, but rather something offered as a way of rounding an apparel line, or as an accessory to the footwear you just purchased.

Stance entered the running sock market shortly after we opened and a partnership between our two brands made perfect sense right away. The attention to detail offered by our friends from California was, and is still, second to none. Not to mention adding some long overdue style to the running world was a very welcome thing after years of the same sock being produced over and over.

Almost a year in the making, this past Thursday we celebrated the launch of our first collaboration collection with Stance - a cleanly styled men's and women's crew height sock with a classic athletic aesthetic, and simple VRC and Stance branding.

Along with 100 or so of our closest friends, with many donning our fresh new socks, we set off for a 4 or 7km run around the city on what proved to be a beautiful Vancouver summer evening.

Post run we hung out at the shop into the night where the cold beers flowed and the celebratory vibe continued. It's always a good time hanging out with Stance as we celebrate this long awaited project.

The collection is a true reflection of Vancouver Running Co. and the simplicity of brand that we strive to offer in everything we do.
